MANILA, Philippines - Meralco stakes its clean slate versus NLEX while Kia hopes to end a long winless spell against Rain or Shine at the resumption of the PBA Governors Cup at the MOA Arena in Pasay City tonight.

The Picanto and the Elasto Painters collide at 4:30 p.m. then the Bolts and the Road Warriors face off at 6:45 p.m. while Gilas Pilipinas is still in the thick of the battle in the FIBA Asia Cup in Beirut.

Minus Gabe Norwood and Raymond Almazan who are with Gilas in Beirut, the E-Painters hope to get the needed boost from new import J’Nathan Bullock and new trade recruit Mark Borboran.

The Bolts, the Road Warriors and the Picanto all play with their complete rosters.

Before the break, the Bolts have notched four wins, the last on a 112-97 spanking of the Picanto.

NLEX, meanwhile, also strung up four consecutive wins before dropping a 97-110 loss to defending champion Barangay Ginebra.

The Bolts and the Road Warriors brace for a battle with both looking to improve their slates atop the heap.

On the other hand, the Picanto and the E-Painters both seek to get on track. Kia is winless in five starts while ROS lost its last two games to NLEX and Meralco after a triumphant debut against GlobalPort.

Except for Cliff Hodge and Reynel Hugnatan limping to their bench after twisting ankles, it was an otherwise complete trouble-free ride for the Meralco Bolts.

The Bolts dominated the Kia Picanto with consummate ease and pulled off an emphatic 112-97 triumph to preserve a clean slate after four games in the PBA Governors Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Sunday night.
