MACAU — Call it Brazilians’ night.

Bibiano Fernandes and Adriano Moraes convincingly beat their respective foes in ONE Championship’s “Kings and Conquerors’ on Saturday night.

Fernandes extended his spotless reign after making a quick work of Andrew Leone. Moraes, for his part, dealt Kairat Akhmetov his first loss in 24 fights via a unanimous decision to become the undisputed ruler of the flyweight division.

“I feel great,” Fernandes told the crowd at the Cotai Arena. “I am here to stay. I welcome all challenges. I want to continue fighting. Whoever I have to fight, I will accept — I am always ready."

Fernandes has defended his title for a record seven times now.

“I’m not surprised [with the victory]. Thank you very much, one more time, for the opportunity, ONE Championship,” Moraes said shortly after topping Akhmetov in the unification match.

The Philippines, too, was able to snare a victory courtesy of Jomary Torres, who posted an impressive debut against Rika Ishige of Thailand.

The two other Filipinos — the returning Eric Kelly and former title challenger Joshua Pacio —  were unable to take home a win.

Kelly ran out of gas against grizzled veteran Kotetsu Boku, while Pacio was easily dispatched by Hayato Suzuki by way of submission.

The other results include:

Lightweight bout: Timofey Nastyukhin defeated Koji Ando by unanimous decision (UD) after three rounds

Catchweight bout: Shannon Wiratchai defeated Rajinder Singh Meena by knockout at 0:29 of Round 1

Bantamweight bout: Chen Lei defeated Saiful Merican by Submission (Armbar) at 3:58 of Round 3

Bantamweight bout: Leandro Issa defeated Toni Tauru by TKO (Strikes) at 1:36 of Round 2

Featherweight bout: Magomed Idrisov defeated Herbert Burns by unanimous decision after 3 rounds

Middleweight bout: Marcin Prachnio defeated Gilberto Galvao by knockout at 1:23 of Round 1

Middleweight bout: Leandro Ataides defeated Michal Pasternak by unanimous decision after 3 rounds

The Philippines will have a chance to improve its collective record when ONE mounts another showpiece in two weeks. The Asian promotion will hold “Quest for Greatness” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
