Magsayo keeps WBO title

MANILA, Philippines -  Mark Magsayo looked magnificent against a boxer from Nicaragua last Saturday and kept his WBO International featherweight crown at the IEC Convention Center in Mabolo in Cebu.

Magsayo needed only a minute, 45 seconds to stop Daniel Diaz after three knockdowns. It was a breezy win against the Nicaraguan who needed more time walking to the ring than staying on his feet.

In the main supporting bout, Jeo Santisima also scored a first-round stoppage (1:18) against Tanzania’s Goodluck Mrema in their super-bantamweight contest scheduled for 10 rounds.
