Castillo replaces Gorayeb as NU coach
MANILA, Philippines — National University Lady Bullpups head coach Raymond "Babes" Castillo will take over the coaching duties for the Lady Bulldogs.

Castillo, will replace head coach Roger Gorayeb, who held the position for three seasons.

In a statement posted by NU, Castillo's successful run in the high school ranks was one of the reason why he was chosen for the position.

"The university has chosen NU Girls Volleyball Team coach Babes Castillo due to his impressive track record and dedication to the school which they believe will be essential to achieve their goal to go back to the Final Four next season," the statement read.

The Lady Bulldogs were tagged as Final Four contenders in the past two UAAP seasons but failed to make it to the semifinals.

They will parade a solid core of the towering Jaja Santiago, hard-hitter Jorelle Singh and the vastly-improved converted setter Jasmine Nabor.

Castillo will be the second UAAP head coach to handle both the juniors and seniors team after University of Santo Tomas' Emilio "Kung Fu" Reyes Jr.
