PBA D-League: CEU faces Wangs, MP 5 vs Batangas

MANILA, Philippines -Centro Escolar University and Marinerong Pilipino launch their debut in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup with the former facing Wangs Basketball and the latter colliding with Batangas at the JCSGO gym in Cubao today.
The CEU Scorpions, handled by coach Yong Garcia, start their buildup for the collegiate season as they take on the Wangs side at 3 p.m.
Meanwhile, Koy Banal marks his return to coaching as he steers the Marinerong Pilipino against the Batangas squad in the 5 p.m. main game.
Out of action for almost a year, Banal admits that he’s a bit anxious going back to coaching.
“There’s a bit of rust, but it should not be an excuse,” said the veteran mentor, who will also have brother and former PBA star Joel as consultant.
