World Slasher finals under way at Big Dome
MANILA, Philippines - Derby action heats up starting today with the start of the three-day finals of the World Slasher Cup 2 Invitational 9-cock derby at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
More than 40 qualifiers out of 100 with 2, 2.5, 3 and 3.5 points clash in a 4-cock finals featuring 80 fights. The final round resumes tomorrow with the grand finals, for those with 4, 4.5 and 5 points, set on Wednesday.
Tonton Lim (Lucban), Rep. Patrick Antonio (Sagupaan T2S 500), Aurelio Yee and John Gutierrez (Casa Juan Resort) and Rep. Khulit Alcala (VJA Khulit CC Combine 2) show the way with 5-0 cards, according to WSC media partner Manny Berbano of Pitgames.
The WSC’s main backers are Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialists, a Filipino-owned company, together with Pitgames Media, Petron and Thunderbird.
