MANILA, Philippines - John Antiporda shot 23 points as Chiang Kai Shek College continued its recovery from a 0-3 start with an 85-83 win over erstwhile unbeaten National University in the10th Freego Cup at the Buddhacare gym in Quezon City over the weekend.

Antiporda drained three triples to highlight another impressive showing as the Blue Dragons posted their third straight win for a 3-3 record.

John Galinato and JC Luciano backed him up with 16 and 11 points, respectively as CKSC stayed in the playoff hunt.

Meantime, Jose Rizal University rebounded from a stinging 93-90 double overtime loss to NU last Tuesday with a 90-85 win over University of the East to grab the lead in the annual preseason tournament backed by Smart, Powerhouse and Home Depot.

JRU’s win was its fifth in six games, one game ahead of NU and Mapua.
