Woman kills husband during quarrel

MANILA, Philippines -  A 26-year-old woman was arrested after killing her husband during an argument that turned violent in Caloocan City Wednesday afternoon.

Gianne Carla and her husband, Mervin Roy Thanaraj, 27, were having a heated argument in their house along Bauhinia street in Barangay 166 when Mervin lost his temper and started beating her at around 2 p.m., said Senior Police Officer 4 Joel Montebon.

Gianne Carla ran to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed her husband once in the neck. Mervin was declared dead on arrival at Hope Hospital in Quezon City.

She surrendered to the police.
