Truck hits motorbike; 3 dead

NORTH COTABATO, Philippines – Three persons were killed when a cargo truck collided with a motorcycle along the Cotabato-Davao Highway in Barangay Capayuran in Pigcawayan town before dawn yesterday.

Ronilo Mides, 28, and his passengers, Kaycee John Lorenzo, 23, and Michael Gaigoni, 27, died at the scene.

Their companion Raymund Edriaira, 29, suffered serious injuries and were brought to the Cotabato Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Truck driver Ronelio Dapitan surrendered to responding policemen.
