MANILA, Philippines — On top of Eduard Folayang’s first title defense, a handful of compelling bouts have been added to the April 21 ONE Championship card, the promotion announced today.
Joining the Team Lakay skipper and Baguio native in “Kings of Destiny” are stablemates Kevin Belingon, Danny Kingad and Gina Iniong. Other Filipino fighters making an appearance in the fight slated for the Mall of Asia Arena are Flyweight standout Eugene Toquero, half-English Natali Gonzales Hills, Robin Catalan and Jeremy Miado.
Folayang, who will enter the fight cage for the first time since November, will stake his lightweight strap against Ev Ting of Malaysia.
Belingon, on the other hand, will take on Toni Tauru of Finland in an effort to stretch his winning ways that dates back from a victory in Myanmar late last year.
Kingad, a striker who touts an unblemished record in the promotion, will also go against another Malaysian in Muhammad Aiman while former celebrity mixed martial artist and fitness coach Toquero will seek to regain his form against Indonesian prospect Stefer Rahardian.
Catalan, who belongs to a family of MMA practitioners will see action against Miado.
In the distaff side, Iniong will lock horns with Hills. Michelle Nicolini, a Brazilian jiu jitsu Hall of Famer, is set to go against Irina Mazepa or Russia.
Ticket information on the April showpiece is indicated in ONE Championship official website.
