7 drug suspects fall in Valenzuela
MANILA, Philippines - At least seven persons were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Valenzuela City in the past two days.
After receiving a call about a group of men engaged in illegal gambling, police officers rushed to Barangay Ugong and found the men were actually using illegal drugs as bets at around 10 a.m. Sunday.
The men fled in different directions but four were arrested: Angelito Ravelo, 44; Joel Taduran, 22; Regalado Aguilar, 50; and Juan Monis, 59.
A sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia were found on Ravelo’s person.
A sting resulted in the arrest of tattoo artist Eros Marvin, 32, along F. Alcanar street in Barangay Wawang Pulo at around 5:30 p.m. A sachet of shabu and marked money were seized from Marvin.
Police officers on patrol arrested Raymond Sangin, 25, and Jayson Montanez, 30, for playing cara y cruz, a gambling game, at around 1 a.m. yesterday.
Two sachets of shabu, drug paraphernalia and lighters were seized from the two men, police said.
