The riddle

DURIAN SHAKE - Pilipino Star Ngayon

I’ll have to let her go in public and I will have to destroy her in public.”

Narito ang FB post ko:

I remember August of last year, I asked President Duterte in a press conference at the Malacañang of the South about what was happening in the country and if he had figured them all out even before the campaign for the May 9 polls started.

“Ikaw, ha. Para ka namang hindi taga-Davao, bumoto ka nga sa akin,” he replied in jest.

I took it as his way of telling me, ‘as if you do not know me’.

But it was also at that time that he first said that he was going to destroy a government official for having overly criticized him.

“You know I was the whipping boy of the NGOs and the human rights stalwarts. But you know, I have a special ano kay ano, she is a government official. I’ll have to let her go in public. and I will have to destroy her in public.”

And I followed it up with another question-- ‘Any clue?’.:

And the President said ---”That’s the riddle there.”

“Just wait. They might have thought that I never listened to them. So, while all the time they were listening to what I have done, I was also busy with the help of another country, listening to them,” the President said.

The President did not elaborate further even if I had to rephrase my question then.

I waited.

Yes, I just remembered that night and the question I asked him as I was watching the happenings that finally ended up at the PNP custodial center today.

We knew what happened next.

And the riddle is solved and answered.
