MANILA, Philippines — UFC star Conor McGregor does not care whoever is pitted against him because he "hold(s) all the numbers."

McGregor recently acquired a license to box professionally in California and is also trying to secure one in Nevada to fight retired boxing star Floyd Mayweather Jr.

But Mayweather Productions CEO Leonard Ellerbe shot down the possibility of the fight since the UFC said they will not allow McGregor to fight Mayweather in a boxing match.

"He is under contract to the UFC, and if he wanted to fight Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match he can't because his bosses wouldn't allow that to happen," Ellerbe recently told ESPN.

He also said the UFC won't let the fight happen because they know Mayweather will beat McGregor easily.

"Floyd and I have nothing against UFC or any of their fighters. I respect all fighters who step in a ring or the Octagon, but Floyd is in the Bahamas enjoying life."

McGregor did not like the comments made by Ellerbe and said he is the hottest fighter right now in terms of being sellable.

"Well I don't give a [expletive] about Floyd either. If you don't want this fight, then no problem," he said in a boxingscene.com report.

"Other than the Floyd and Manny Pacquiao pay-per-view numbers, gate numbers – I hold all the numbers. I don't need him. I have the boxing license."
