PNP-CSG cops table tennis title
MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine National Police (PNP)-Civil Security Group (CSG) captured the JCO Invitational Table Tennis tournament men’s team event title over the weekend at the Harrison Plaza Table Tennis Center in Manila.
The PNP-CSG blasted the NRG table tennis team, 3-2, to win the title of the two-day competition organized by the Table Tennis Association of the Philippines headed by Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.
The PNP-CSG is composed of Jose Ortalla Jr., Glenn Nayre, Kerby Colis and Jong Ortalla.
Jeju-Do, South Korea and Harrison Plaza Table Tennis Club settled for third place each.
Harrison Plaza Table Tennis Club headed Canee Torres, Camille Torres, Keziahbien Ablaza and Ruth Chavez defeated Genuier’s Engineering School, 3-0, to take home the women’s open team event crown.
La Salle-Zobel women’s team took third.
Floro Tagum beat Richard Nieva of PNP, 3-2, to win the executive event title. Jhunax Lozares of Bureau of Customs settled for third.
