Tabuena stays 2 shots behind

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Miguel Tabuena barely survived a punishing day at the wind-raked Taiwan Golf and Country Club and carded a 74, staying two strokes behind Thai Panuphol Pittayarat in the third round of the Mercuries Taiwan Masters yesterday.

Tabuena hit two birdies in the wind, the last on the par-5 15th which he double-bogeyed in the second round. But the young Filipino ace fumbled with four bogeys although his 54-hole total of 214 kept him just two strokes off Pittayarat heading to the final 18 holes of the $800,000 Asian Tour event.
