MANILA, Philippines – La Salle will miss two of its vital cogs in Sunday's highly anticipated UAAP tussle against the Ateneo at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Skipper Jeron Teng and mentor Aldin Ayo will not suit up for the Green Archers due to treatment and a league suspension, respectively.
The news, first broken by ArcherPride.com, said that Teng will miss Sunday's action due to a procedure for his bone spurs.
Meanwhile, Ayo will be serving his suspension following a meltdown and altercation against a game official last Wednesday, according to La Salle's representative to the UAAP board Edwin Reyes.
Reyes added that UAAP commissioner Rebo Saguisag denied the Green Archers' appeal, which was filed Thursday.
The Taft-based squad will stake its unblemished record and try to wrap the first round against the second-place Ateneo, which is touting a 4-2 record.
