MANILA, Philippines – After three months of showcasing his wares in the United States, Kiefer Ravena is now playing another game.
A waiting one, that is.
After being invited to try out for the Texas Legends, the former Ateneo de Manila University superstar said he is now waiting for a phone call in order to figure out his next career move.
"Siguro, may tawag naman ako na sasabihin nila [kung] wala ... that’s the cue to do whatever move I have to do when it comes to my career," said Ravena shortly after watching his brother Thirdy help the Eagles dispatch the Fighting Maroons on Wednesday.
Asked about his chances, the two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player and national team guard said he is not certain on what to make out if his experience.
"OK naman siya. Nandun kasi talaga ako to try it out. Ngayon, I’m just waiting on an opportunity to get called back. So sana, you know, positive, dasal-dasal lang,” added Ravena.
"Pero I'm hoping for the best pa rin. Ngayon, nandito muna ako, just enjoying time with my family after being gone for three months. Na-miss ko rin kayo," he said.
But worse comes to worst, Ravena also expressed that he's bracing himself.
"Kung negative man, ganun talaga. Ang importante lang, this is a childhood dream of mine,” he ended.
