MANILA, Philippines – LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers clawed their way out of a 1-3 hole to win the 2016 NBA championship, but that means nothing right now.
They beat the winningest team in the history of the league, but that means nothing right now.
They won their first championship in their second finals try even with just building a team over the course of two off-seasons, but that means nothing right now.
They avenged their Finals series against a team lead by the only unanimous and back-to-back MVP, but that means nothing right now.
"We are the defending champions but that means absolutely nothing right now," the Cavaliers superstar said during the team's Media Day Tuesday.
