BRAFE 11 to draw huge field

MANILA, Philippines - The Brafe golf tournament braces for a grand 11th staging on Oct. 3 with 350 players expected to see action at the three courses of the sprawling Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Gen. Trias, Cavite.

Registration starts at 6 a.m. with the shotgun tee off set at 8 a.m. at the Aoki, Faldon and Norman courses.

Organizers expect another tight but friendly competition that has marked the first 10 stagings of the event.

First held in 2006, Brafe Golf is staged for the benefit of The Foundation for Sharing A La Sallian Education (FSLE) and in memory of Br. Rafael “Brafe” Donato, FSC,  who established the foundation in 1988. It provides scholarships for deserving students to earn a four-year college degree at De La Salle University Lipa.

Individual participants and corporate sponsors are well aware of the benefits of educating intelligent but financially burdened students to be able to receive a university education at the De La Salle University Lipa,” said Albert Garcia.
