LOOK: PSL Grand Prix 2016 schedule

Defending Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix champion Foton Tornadoes begin their quest for a back to back title in a rematch with last year's finalists Petron when the 2016 edition opens on October 8 at the FilOil Flying V-Centre in San Juan.

 

Fresh from their Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship, Foton looks to defend their Grand Prix crown by parading their solid core with returning import Lindsay Stalzer and Ariel Usher.

 

 

Before the finals rematch, All Filipino Conference champion F2 Logistics Cargo Movers will face the young Generika Lifesavers squad.

 

The core of the champion squad, including Mika Reyes, Aby Marano, Cha Cruz and Ara Galang will return for the Ramil de Jesus mentored squad. Another former De La Salle Lady Spiker Cienne Cruz will see action for the first time in the PSL. Cignal’s Djanel Cheng and Janine Navarro will jump ship to further boost F2.

 

Veteran coach Francis Vicente will return to coach an intact squad with Rubie de Leon, Gen Casugod and Wensh Tiu.

Generika will bring in 6’5” Darlene Ramdin and Ukrainian Plina Liutikova as their foreign reinforcements.

 

Cignal and RC-Cola Army both had opening day bye and will face Foton and F2 respectively on October 11.
