Pacquiao, Vargas to promote fight in Beverly Hills presser
MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao and Jessie Vargas will have the opportunity to size each other up for the first time when they meet at a press conference in Beverly Hills, California next week to formally announce their November 5 fight.
Top Rank Inc., the fight’s promoter, said the press luncheon will be held next Thursday, September 8 (Friday, September 9 Manila time) at the Crystal Ballroom of The Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Vargas (27-1, 10 KOs) will stake his WBO welterweight championship against Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KOs), who is coming off a win over Timothy Bradley – interestingly the only fighter to defeat Vargas – last April.
Top Rank said tickets to fight, which will be staged at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, are priced at $1,000, $700, $500, $300, $100 and $50.
