Azkals-Turkmenistan friendly called off

MANILA, Philippines – This was according to a statement released by Philippine Football Federation secretary general Atty. Edwin Gastanes.

The PFF said it received an urgent notice from the Football Federation of Turkmenistan stating that more than half of the team’s players sustained various injuries in matches in the recent Turkmenistan Championship and Turkmenistan Cup.

Although the September 2 tiff has been cancelled, the Azkals will prepare for their upcoming match in Bishkek against the Kyrgyz Republic national team on September 6.
