UFL All-Stars collide with Perth Glory

MANILA, Philippines – After a tough match against UFL perennial contender Global FC which ended in a scoreless draw, Perth Glory of the Australian league will compete against the UFL All-Stars, to be led by some former members of the Philippine Azkals, on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila.

Longtime Azkals team captain Aly Borromeo and national players Jerry Barbaso, Jason de Jong, Joshua Beloya and Ruben Doctora will banner a lineup of UFL standouts, which is currently on a break after the first round of the current tournament.

Other members of the squad include Jun Badelic, Jerry Barbaso, Nick O’Ronnell of Global FC, Louis Clark, Sharmar Felongco, Robert Lopez Mendy, Woody Ugarte of Kaya FC, Kou Ichi Belgira, Ian Clarino, Tahj Minniecon, Jinggoy Valmayor of Loyola Meralco Sparks, Yu Hoshide and Masaki Yanagawa of JP Voltes FC.

Calling the shots for the UFL All-Stars will be Simon McMenemy of Loyola Meralco Sparks.

This will be after the game of the UFL Philippines squad, bannered by players of JP Voltes FC and Stallion FC, coached by Ernest Nierras of Stallion versus the UFL Rest of World squad (the line-up is composed of foreigners playing in the UFL) led by the core of players from Global FC. The team will be mentored by Coach Leigh Manson of Global FC.

Gametime is 4 p.m.

The lineups of the Philippine Azkals to compete against Perth Glory in Quirino Stadium in Bantay, Ilocos Sur will be announced soon.
