Chiang Kai Shek bags two Milcu cage crowns

MANILA, Philippines - Chiang Kai Shek College came away with two title victories to dominate the Milcu Got Skills Malolos Republic Summer Showcase at the Enderun Colleges gym recently.

Joshua Tolentino knocked in 26 points as the Blue Dragons trampled the La Salle Greenhills side, 61-52, to capture the 14-and-under crown of the tournament sponsored by Milcu and sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

Tolentino poured in 17 points in the final period as the Blue Dragons outscored their rivals, 23-9, on their way to victory.

Jethro Obtinalla dished out a double-double of 14 points and 17 rebounds to power CKSC to the U-13 championship with a 71-61 romp over De La Salle Zobel and complete the sweep of the twin crowns.

CKSC stamped its class early, posting leads of as many as 17, 41-24, before coasting to the 10-point win.

St. Clare College smothered De La Salle, 103-92, to rule the 25-U division of the Summer Showcase tournament backed by Basketball TV, Gerry’s Grill, Gatorade, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, Kawasaki, LGR, SLAM, Rain or Shine, Honda, Coach Athletic Trainers Tape, Secret Fresh, Mighty Sports and Nousha Kebabs and Barbeque.
