NPA leader nabbed in Surigao

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – A rebel leader was arrested in Claver, Surigao del Norte on Tuesday. 

Jonathan Cadaan Peñaflor, with aliases of Jojo Peñaflor, Lurkan and Albert, was nabbed at his rented house in Purok 7 in Barangay Ladgaran at around 2 p.m. based on the warrant for murder issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 30 acting Judge Emmanuel Escatron.

Peñaflor is the commanding officer of the Sangay sa Partido Platoon 21C of the New People’s Army.  He yielded assorted firearms.
