Saints rout DOMC 5, stay at Milcu helm

MANILA, Philippines - St. Clare College dominated De Ocampo Memorial College, 80-64, to remain in the lead in Group B in Week Four of the Milcu Got Skills Malolos Republic Summer Showcase basketball tournament at Lyceum gym recently.

It was the Saints’ fifth victory against a setback as they zeroed in on a spot in the next round of the tournament sponsored by Milcu and sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

In other results, Ben Mbala had 18 points and six rebounds to lift La Salle to a 99-95 win over University of the East. The Green Archers improved to 4-1 in Group A.

Mark Maloles scored 18 points as Manuel L. Quezon University trounced Technological Institute of the Philippines, 63-49, to improve to 2-3 in the tournament also supported by Basketball TV, Gatorade, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, Kawasaki, LGR, SLAM, Rain or Shine, Honda, Coach Athletic Trainers Tape, Secret Fresh, Mighty Sports, and Nousha Kebabs and Barbeque.

Enderun Colleges held off National University, 66-61, with Colines Captue scoring 18 points and grabbing nine rebounds as the Titans improved to 3-2.

In the 16-under division, Pampanga High School downed Reader Malolos, 63-33. Mark Tapnio added 15 points and 12 rebounds for Pampanga High for a 4-2 slate.
