WATCH: Parks registers 3rd double-figures in NBA D-League
MANILA, Philippines – There's a silver lining in everything.
That, too, is the case for Bobby Ray Parks Jr. as he showed significant improvement despite a recent loss suffered by his team, the Texas Legends.
Parks, whose stomping ground is now in the NBA D-League, finished with 10 markers on a four-of-six shooting clip. He hauled a total of five rebounds and committed only one turnover in 23 minutes of play.
What underscores Parks' outing in this assignment is that he logged his third double-digit scoring performance in his D-League stint.
His best outing was last March 5 against the LA D-Fenders, where he canned 13 points. The first time he breached the 10-point mark was last February 3 against the Iowa Energy, which also resulted to a loss.
The two-time former UAAP Most Valuable Player and Gilas Pilipinas pool member is perhaps getting the hang of playing in the NBA's prep league. He could be seen attacking the basket more frequently.

And with Gilas Pilipinas back in training, a lot of Filipino hoop junkies are maybe wondering whether the Filipino-American is going to suit up for the squad in the Rio Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. In November last year, Parks said that if he had the privilege, then he would love to.
Head tactician Tab Baldwin has included Parks in the pool of potential national cagers, along with another Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Rio Olympic qualifying tournament is slated here this July.
