LOOK: Pacquiao’s actual mouthguard for Bradley fight

MANILA, Philippines – Forget about the UNA logo-adorned mouthguard earlier thought to be worn by Manny Pacquiao in his fight with Timothy Bradley next month.

Los Angeles-based Filipino dentist Dr. Ed dela Vega bared the actual protective piece that Pacquiao will be using – something that features the Filipino icon’s “MP” logo instead.

Dela Vega himself handed over the mouthguard to Pacquiao recently, putting to rest the issue of whether Pacquiao will actually equip the one with the UNA logo.

He and Pacquiao also have a photo together to prove it.

“Definitely, he [Pacquiao] will not be wearing the ‘play’ mouthguard we made a couple of days ago and whose photo we posted on the internet yesterday (last Thursday). That mouthguard had the logo of Pacquiao’s political party and it’s not allowed by the Philippine Commission of Elections to be used as it may ‘create an unfair political advertising for Pacquiao’. Pacquiao as everybody knows is running a for a seat in the Philippine Senate,” Dela Vega wrote in a PhilBoxing.com article.
