Israeli envoy talks NBA, PH hoops

MANILA, Philippines – If there is one thing the Ambassador of Israel to the Philippines, Effie Ben Matityau, is fond of talking about aside from foreign policies, it would be basketball.
 
In an exclusive interview with PhilStar.com, Matityau gave his take on Israel's first National Basketball Association and Sacramento Kings' breakout cager in Omri Casspi.
 
The ambassador also bared his thoughts on former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach David Blatt and how important the game of basketball is for Israelis.
 
And the most noteworthy part of it? Matityau's feedback on the state of Philippine basketball.
