Circle nails QC Pride volley crown

MANILA, Philippines - Team Circle pounced on Braganza’s depleted roster as it bounced back from a third set meltdown to carve out a 25-23, 25-20, 12-25, 25-19 victory and clinch the inaugural Quezon City Pride Volleyball Cup crown at the Amoranto Sports Complex late Sunday.

One of the five teams competing under the banner of the host city, Team Circle took advantage of Braganza’s eight-player roster to win the crown in the tournament organized by Sports Core and the city council of Quezon for members of the LBGT community.

Braganza, which survived a pair of do-or-die matches before figuring in a marathon battle with Instituto Estetico Manila-A in the semis, fought back from 0-2 set down with a 25-12 win in the third but ran out of gas in the fourth.
