Belo does it again, brings Tams back to UAAP Finals

MANILA, Philippines -- Mac Belo did it again.

In a virtual repeat of their Final Four victory last season, Belo once again emerged as the hero at the buzzer, this time, sinking the winning putback that gave the Far Eastern University Tamaraws a 76-74 win against the hard-luck Ateneo Blue Eagles on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Last year, Belo sank a triple at the buzzer to eliminate the Eagles' arch-rival De La Salle Green Archers in their Final Four match.

The Tamaraws, who finished the eliminations at no. 2, will wait for the winner of the other pairing between the top seed UST Growling Tigers and the defending National University Bulldogs.

The Tigers will be looking to arrange a finals showdown with the Tamaraws with their first of two cracks Sunday also at the Big Dome.
