PSL tankers bag MOS award in Singapore

SINGAPORE – Four Philippine Swimming League (PSL) standouts bagged the Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) award in the 2015 Singapore Invitational Swimming Championship held at the Singapore Island Country Club here.

Heading the list were Indian Ocean All Star Challenge multi-gold medalists Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh of Immaculate Heart of Mary College and Kyla Soguilon of Sun Yat Sen School along with Marc Bryan Dula of Wissenheimer Academy and Lee Grant Cabral of Diliman Preparatory School.

Mojdeh claimed five golds and three silvers in the girls’ 8-9 class highlighted by her record-breaking feat in the 100-meter breaststroke (1:34.89) and 50m butterfly (36.42).

Sharing the spotlight was Soguilon who dominated the girls’ 10-11 category with five golds, one silver and one bronze including new record in the 100m backstroke (1:16.78).

Dula secured one gold and six silver medals to win the MOS trophy in the boys’ 8-9 event.

The eight-year-old Dula outclassed his tall rivals in winning the 50m butterfly gold medal then clinched silver medals in the 200m freestyle, 50m backstroke and  100m butterfly.
