Elorde anniversary derby Monday

MANILA, Philippines - The Elorde four-cock anniversary derby will be held Monday at the Elorde Cockpit Stadium in Sucat, Parañaque.

Promoted by Johnny Elorde, the event offers a  guaranteed prize of P300,000, with an entry fee of  P11,000 and minimum bet of P5,500. The handler and the gaffer of the winning entry will receive  P20,000 and 10,000, respectively. Top breeders and cockfighting aficionados are expected to participate in the derby.

Weights required are 1.8-2.4 kgs. Submission and declaration of weights will be done one day before the fight.
