‘All In’ charity caging, clinic launched

MANILA, Philippines - Former superstar Allen Iverson and other NBA stars will meet stakeholders, guests and organizers in a charity luncheon  and basketball clinic ushering in the “All In” charity basketball event on Nov 5.

The event will feature Iverson with tickets to be offered simultaneously in all PCWorx branches all over Metro Manila on Monday.

“The Charity Luncheon is an event to have the stakeholders, the beneficiary and the special partners meet and greet Iverson and his team,” PCWorx managing director Michael Chua said. “During the luncheon, Gawad Kalinga (beneficiary) will have the opportunity to showcase its projects and activities so that we could appreciate where the funds would go.”

The Charity Luncheon is set at noon of Nov. 5, the same day the All In will be staged at the Mall of Asia Arena. Tickets to the Charity Luncheon will be on sale at PCWorx branches on E. Rodriguez Avenue, Gilmore IT Center and Samsung Concept Store at the SM North Edsa all in Quezon City and at Megamall in Mandaluyong City and Festival Mall in Alabang.

Iverson will be with the Ball Up Streetball All-Stars that will play against a selection from the UAAP and NCAA stars and PBA Legends, who will be outfitted by one of “All In’s” principal partners, Accel.

Former NBA stars Gilbert Arenas, Eddie Curry and Dermarr Johnson will be joining Iverson in the event, organized by i-Kurot Co. Inc. and held to raise funds for the construction of 44 houses, equivalent to two communities at the Gawad Kalinga Bulaklakan Chapter in Barangay Holy Spirit in Quezon City.

Tickets to charity game are pegged at P6,500 (VIP), P5,500 (Patron), P4,000 (Lower Box), P3,000 (Upper Box) and P600 (General Admission).

Off-game activities include a basketball clinic on November 4 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the MOA, Charity Luncheon on November 5 at the Solaire Resort and Casino starting at 11 a.m. Charity tickets worth P8,000 each will be sold to sponsors and benefactors of the charity event.

There will also be a meet-and-greet activity, auction of Iverson items, special entertainment and booth activities at the MOA Arena on November 5.
