Pacquiao plays hoops at turf of NBA’s Warriors
MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao is taking is foray into professional basketball seriously.
The Filipino boxing icon, who is currently in the US to promote his November fight with Chris Algieri, took time to visit the headquarters of the Golden State Warriors in Oakland, California over the weekend.
There, Pacquiao, donning a jersey of Warriors superstar Stephen Curry, played in a pickup game while also granting an interview for Warriors TV.
NBA.com reported that Warriors swingman Andre Iguodala had a pair of gloves signed by Pacquiao, saying he is a big fan of the fiery southpaw.
The fighting congressman has added basketball to his busy schedule, being the head coach for expansion team Kia Sorentos in the PBA. Pacquiao will also suit up as a player for Kia after being selected as the team’s 11th pick in the annual PBA Rookie Draft last month.

Pacquiao faces Algieri on Nov. 23 at the Cotai Arena of The Venetian Macao in Macau, China.
