MANILA, Philippines — Which of the top four teams in this year's World Cup has the support of more Filipinos?

Based on statistics generated by Google trends, users from the Philippines have searched for Brazil more than any of the four national teams left standing in the sports event.

Brazil got an average score of 45 on a scale of 0 to 100 within a 30-day period, from June 11 to July 7.

Germany is the second team with the most interest on the search engine with an average score of 33, followed by Netherlands and Argentina.

Google explains the chart as follows:

The numbers on the graph reflect how many searches have been done for a particular term, relative to the total number of searches done on Google over time. They don't represent absolute search volume numbers, because the data is normalized and presented on a scale from 0-100. Each point on the graph is divided by the highest point, or 100.

In terms of regional interest, Pasig City is most interested in the Brazil National Football Team, while Germany captured Cebu City.

Cebu also leads in terms of interest in the Netherlands and Argentina.
