MANILA, Philippines – The Davao Lady Agilas seek to ride the momentum of their impressive debut against Far Eastern U as they clash with reigning NCAA champion Perpetual Help in the Shakey's V-League Season 11-First Conference at The Arena in San Juan City on Tuesday.

Bannered by the finest players in the region, the Lady Agilas bucked a fourth set meltdown turning back the Lady Tams, 25-20, 25-19, 20-25, 25-22, to nail their first win while sending them inside the magic four.

Davao is expected to draw strength anew from May Sheila Agton, Venus Flores, Princess Joy Oliveros and Angel Mae Antipuesto, who came through and led the way with 15, 14, 11 and 10 hits, respectively.

Another win by Davao will push it closer to the quarters along the National Lady Bulldogs, the first Group B team that made it to the next round after winning their first four outings.

"That's our goal, to make it to the next round," said Davao coach Shane Alagao in Filipino.

Alagao said her team is carrying the pride of the whole of Davao, and perhaps, the whole of Mindanao, as it is composed of standouts from Ateneo de Davao, Jose Maria College, San Pedro College, University of Mindanao and Holy Cross.

Davao will play a Perpetual Help team that has struggled in its first three assignments, losing all of it.

The Lady Altas though are still in the quarters' race if they could sweep all their remaining two games including this one against the Lady Agilas set at 2 p.m.

In the other game, St. Louis (0-3) battle St. Benilde (1-3) in a Group A match.
