Close to 80 exhibitors show wares in SEA-EX at One Esplanade

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Close to 80 exhibitors are putting on display a wide range of products – from beautiful catamarans and yachts on the floating dock, portable boats and standard RIBs, to scuba diving and snorkeling gear, and advanced marine GPS systems and engines – in the SEA-EX 2014 on March 21-23 at One Esplanade.

Companies from Asian neighbors, all the way to Australia, and Sweden, Sea-Ex are putting up what is considered the finest show of its kind in the Philippines.

At last year’s Sea-Ex, urbanites and enthusiasts beat the Manila heat at One Esplanade, grabbing gear and kicking back at the bigger and better expo.

As the country’s boat show and premier nautical lifestyle expo, Sea-Ex brought back what it was known for and added even more to its expanding repertoire- On it’s fifth year, Sea-Ex expanded to welcome the luxury car industry, attracting new clientele and more visitors than ever before.

Since 2009, the show has steadily developed from an avid boat builder’s vision, to a full-fledged, internationally recognized event. Sea-Ex has always prided itself in celebrating what the Philippines is synonymous with, and is currently the only show in the Philippines where the boating, marine and water-sports industries are the main focus and are available to the Philippine market.

During the 2013 expo, guests enjoyed more sections and activities than before. In addition to the annual mini regatta held by the Philippine Sailing Association, guests built their own boats at the Boat Building Area with members of the Philippine Home Boat Builders Yacht Club, shot some arrows at Spurways’ Laporte Archery station, experienced some rough terrain at the Land Rover terrapod rides, whizzed around on a Segway personal transporter, test drove Volvos and cruised on the M Y Isla yacht.

Events throughout the weekend entertained the throng-regatta’s launch of their summer 2013 campaign, a flyboard exhibition from Geminai Watersports and nightly sunset entertainment. from Moonwlk, Extrapolation and Lee Grane.

The event is presented by Rogue, with partner hotel Midas Hotel, official logistics provider Agility Logistics, official floating dock sponsor East West Building Tech, additional sponsors Regatta, Sony, Sperry, LBC, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Tapa King, Yoshinoya, Lifeline and media sponsors C! Magazine, Calibre, Grid, Active Boating and Watersports, Seaway Shipping Digest, Balikbayan Magazine, Asian Journal, Manila Bulletin, Business World, Panay News, Edge Davao, When in Manila, Mellow 94.7, Jam 88.3, Radio High 105.9, 105.1 Crossover, DZRJ and RJ 100.3.
