MANILA, Philippines - LRI Design Plaza is holding a sale with up to 50 percent discounts on furniture, home accessories, art objects, fashion items and gourmet food, from May 21 to June 6.

LRI Design Plaza is a lifestyle haven located at 210 Nicanor Garcia St. (formerly Reposo), Bel Air II, Makati City.

Rain, the all-in-one women’s store, and Studio 116 Dance School on the first floor, plus Living Space on the second floor are the new additions to the ever-growing mix of almost 40 tenants offering the latest and sophisticated designs in home interiors, furniture, fine arts, photography, gourmet food, spa services and a dance school.

Rain opened its doors in March, offering made-to-order furniture, gift items, house decor, and home accessories. The store offers clothes and shoes designed by young owner Tim Tam Ong. Rain also has special cosmetic services like facials and eyelashes extension.

Studio 116 Dance School occupies 220 square meters of space. The dance floor is made up of floating sub-wood flooring that allows dancers to bounce. With foam and three layers of wood, it is perfect for ballroom dancing, ballet and gym exercises.

Owner Emily Silva, a child-study graduate of Maryknol College, uses an internationally recognized dance syllabus in international modern ballroom dances like tango, waltz, foxtrot and international Latin ballroom dances like rumba, chacha, jive and quickstep. 

It provides training for social and dance sports like swing, salsa and salsa shine in progressive levels. There’s also Dance Conditioning Workout developed exclusively by choreographer Paul Harris, credited for the battle scene in Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix. 

Students learn essential skills like discipline, focus, confidence, courage and the dance becomes a true sport when it comes to dance competition and social graces.   Elderly students pursue dancing for healing and for lowering their cholesterol levels. There are participants over 70 years old who join dance competitions.

Youth Dance Training Program is open to students ages 16 to 18, junior from 12 to 16 and juveniles from 11 under. These kids go abroad and win dance sport competitions in their age categories.
