Getting rid of dust mites with Raycop UVC anti-allergy vacuum cleaner

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - As the weather warms and the air becomes more humid, the unseen irritants in homes that can trigger the simple and noxious allergies begin to increase in numbers.

There are many substances in the household that can cause allergies like animal dander, insect parts, mold spores and pollen but the most common allergens, however, are from dust mites.

They love the warm, moist conditions. There is a possibility that there could be as many as 1.5 million dust mites, majority of them alive, living in your bed, pillows and mattress.

Because of this, thousands of children and even adults suffer from asthma, frequent sneezing and sometimes difficulty in breathing, especially for the ones living in the cities.

Dust mites are not parasitic, they are not capable of biting or stinging humans but they have powerful allergens contained in the mites, their cast skins, fecal material and secretions.

Their primary food is skin scales (dander) contained in house dust. People and pets regularly shed small flakes of skin from their bodies as the skin continually renews itself. Since the greatest fallout occurs in areas of human and pet activity, the mites tend to be most numerous in beds, overstuffed sofas and chairs, and adjacent carpeted areas.

Incredibly, these mites survive in all climates, even at high altitude. House dust mites thrive in indoor environment provided by homes specifically in bedrooms amid kitchens.

Although you cannot see dust mites they are a significant trigger of asthma, eczema and other modern-day allergies. It is not the dust mite itself, which does the damage, it is their poo. Those 1.5 million dust mites in your bed are each producing up to 20 pellets of fecal material every day.

With more people suffering from diseases caused by allergies, combating this menace becomes more and more important. Luckily, however small and invisible these dust mites be, there is now a product that can exterminate them from every nook and cranny of the house.

Raycop is the first UVC anti-allergy vacuum cleaner that kills 99 percent of bacteria and eliminates almost 94 percent of dust mites. It is especially designed to clean bed linens and other fabrics, helping to create a healthier home by cleaning deep into the household fabrics, mattresses, sofas, chairs, futons, crib, pads, bed sheets, pillows and curtains.

Raycop was first introduced in the country some time last year after a couple who has been searching for a solution to their son’s asthma was advised to try to use a vacuum cleaner to eliminate all dust mites, which had caused the worsening of their son’s condition.

“Our son has been under medication since he was young because he was suffering from asthma. He’s been taking ventolin but I decided one day they he had enough of those,” said Catherine Dy, president of Zinven International Corp.

“Raycop has done wonders to our lives especially to the life of my son and this is the reason we brought Raycop to the country,” Dy said.

The Raycop UVC anti-allergy vacuum cleaner is available at Rustan’s department stores, S & R, Landmark, Wilcon Builders Libis, and Abenson’s department stores.
