3 Bacolod City cops dismissed from service

CEBU, Philippines — Three police officers assigned in Bacolod City were dismissed from the service for “misappropriation of their issued firearms.”

Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, Bacolod City Police officer-in-charge, however withheld the names of the three dismissed police officers, one of them a policewoman.

The dismissal orders — approved and signed by Chief Supt. Cesar Hawthorne Binag, director of the Police Regional Office-6 — are now under appeal filed by the three before the National Police Commission.

Pending action of their appeal, the three police officers have been temporarily assigned at the BCPO headquarters, Ebreo added. (FREEMAN)
