10 candidates vie for Miss Dumaguete 2017 crown

DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines — Ten women will be contesting for the Miss Dumaguete 2017 crown in this yearly beauty pagenat, which is part of Dumaguete City’s annual fiesta celebration in November.

City Councilor Michael Bandal, tourism committee chairperson, and City Tourism Officer Jaqueline Antonio presented the contestants to the local press Saturday morning at the Manhattan Suites Inn in the city.

The ten candidates are: Maydel Faburada of Barangay Camanjac, 21 years old (4th year student of the Negros Oriental State University); Gerlie Montero of Brgy. Batinguel,21, (4th year BSBA student of NORSU); Bianca Jane Dagoy of Brgy. Candau-ay, 21, (college graduate); Nastassja Amigo of Poblacion 6, 18, (grade 12 senior high student of Silliman University); Mekaila Angelie Ellemia of Barangay Pulantubig, 21, (a college graduate);

Vanessa Kimberly Ganser of Barangay Talay, 20; Lexandrea Bliss Dela Cerna of Brgy. Piapi,19, (4th year student of SU); Elisse Anne Dolleton of Piapi, 22, (college graduate); Ivy Cara Sangangbayan of Brgy. Daro, 22, (college graduate); and Dharla Anne Aquino of Brgy. Tabuc-Tubig (3rd year Tourism student of Foundation University).

The pageant’s Talent Night will be held on November 17 at the Quezon Park, while the Coronation Night will be on November  23. (FREEMAN)
