LMP-Negros Or. elects new set of officers

DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines — The League of Municipalities in the Philippines-Negros Oriental chapter has elected a new set of officers.

Elected president unopposed is Ayungon town Mayor Edsel Enardecido, and vice president is Bindoy Mayor Valente Yap.

The other elected LMP officials are Mayors Glenson Alanano of Zamboanguita as secretary, Gino dela Cruz of Amlan (treasurer), Jocelyn Alviola of Bacong (auditor), and Fritz Diaz of Siaton (press relations officer).

The elected directors are: Mayors Susano Ruperto of Tayasan town, Felix Sy (Manjuyod), Janice Degamo (Pamplona), Jose Abierra (Sibulan), and Nathan Electona (Sta. Catalina.

In his parting statement, outgoing LMP president, Bentham dela Cruz, currently the vice mayor of Amlan enjoined his colleagues to stay as one and make the LMP an avenue to unite regardless of political affiliations. (FREEMAN)
