Hindi pala natuloy ang mga proyektong gagawin sana ni Dayanara Torres sa bansa. Sa isang taon na raw ito matutupad.
Kaya naman nalulungkot ang dating Miss Universe. Gustung-gusto pa naman ng dating beauty queen ang Pilipinas kaya nang ganapin ang Miss Universe 2017 kamakailan, hindi niya ‘yun pinalampas. Isa siya siya sa mga gumanap na hurado.
“Arriving in the Philippines was honestly like coming back home. The love, the smiles, the hugs... it was as if I had never left. My heart was filled with so much love and emotions…brought tears to my eyes…such an emotional journey!
“My days were full – in-between my duties as one of the Miss Universe judges – but always making time aside to meet with my old friends and co-workers. I decided to stay longer and be part of ASAP’s 22nd anniversary! ASAP was the show I started as a host together with Martin Nievera, Pops Fernandez, and Ariel Rivera in 1994. Getting back to be on that stage and do a dance number just like before was such a memorable experience. Unforgettable! I will treasure that moment forever,” pag-aalala ni Dayanara sa ipinadalang sulat sa kanyang manager na si Ms. Angeli Pangilinan.
“Lots of ideas and opportunities kept coming…the shows of ABS-CBN, and then I became a member of the Belo Family and Luxxe Renew. I’ve been pretty much dedicated and involved with my sons’ lives... and now they are much older and I have been able to get back to my career, little by little. The timing was perfect!
“My summer was set, I was ready to go back to the Philippines for the whole summer! I even planned to bring the boys for part of the summer too. Unfortunately, the two projects that were supposed to keep me busy in Manila were pushed back a year!
“Although I’ve been sad about this, I’m still hopeful that things will turn out when they are supposed to...my Love and admiration for the Philippines and its loving people remains in my heart...,” sabi niya sa sulat.

David Kim
Korean actor na si David Kim na-challenge sa Jagiya…
Ngayong gabi na ang simula nang first original Filipino-Korean series, My Korean Jagiya starring Heart Evangelista.
Para bigyan ng GMA 7 ng full Korean experience ang manonood, lumipad ang cast members and crew sa Land of the Morning Calm and hired professional Korean actors para makatrabaho ni Heart, kasama na rito ang isa sa Korean actor na si David Kim, na napanood na sa K dramas tulad ng Iris 2, Glamorous Temptation, and currently, The King Is In Love.
High school pa lang ay umaarte na si Kim. “It was by chance that I made my debut,” sabi niya sa interview.
“I was approached by a photographer when he saw me on the streets. He took my photo and he eventually introduced me to an entertainment management company.”
At that time, ayon kay Kim, teen love dramas were a trend in Korea and David was grateful to be casted by a major broadcasting company. “Our drama was the most popular one and it ran for two years. Personally, that drama was the most memorable one,” pag-alala niya.
My Korean Jagiya is David’s first international stint by a foreign production and shot in a foreign country. Sa kung bakit niya tinanggap ang role, David says that he’s always up for a challenge. “This drama is really interesting and I was lucky to get a chance to experience something new and something different compared to all the projects I’ve done in Korea,” pahayag niya sa interview.
David plays the role of Kim Ji Hu, Jun Ho’s (Alexander Lee) older brother and the eldest son of Madame (Michelle Oh). His character seems cruel as he steals his younger brother’s girlfriend, but David says that there are reasons behind Ji Hu’s actions which will be revealed later on in the show.
Mapapanood ang My Korean Jagiya beginning tonight after Mulawin vs. Ravena on GMA Telebabad.
