3 kids drown

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – The bodies of three children who drowned in Ifugao and La Union have been recovered.

Mischa Bermudez, 2, and her brother John Mark, 5, were crossing a river with their mother Jennilyn and aunt Villalyn when they were swept away by the strong current in Barangay Pugol in Lamut town on Monday.

The body of Melva Columbres, 13, a resident of Baguio City, was found yesterday, three days after she was reported missing while swimming on a beach in San Juan, La Union.

A fisherman found the body of Columbres near the seashore in Barangay Ili Norte.
