Timex lady booters now 3-0 in Abotiz football
CEBU, Philippines - Timex crushed Accenture, 3-0, to take the solo lead in the BPO-ladies division of the 18th Aboitiz Football Cup at the Paref-Springdale School field yesterday.
Guillerma Belda set up the offensive fire for Timex after finding the back of the net with just eight minutes gone by in the game.
Mailyn Lozano and Patricia Duazo then fired back-to-back goals at the 14th and 22nd to seal Timex's third straight win in as many starts.
In the other game, the United Health Group dumped Lexmark, 5-0, to improve its record to two wins and a draw.
Roselle Mendoza spearheaded UHG's rout of Lexmark with a hat-trick at the 10th, 24th and 31st. The other goals were sank by Nenette Lanza at the 17th and Genevieve Suyko at the 37th.
Lear FC, on the other hand, subdued Convergys, 3-1.
Tricia Lamberto nailed Lear's first goal at the 26th followed by Jona Mae Acosta at the 30th and Clyve Pahugot at the 33rd.
In the inter-company division, ERCO slammed GBPO, 10-1.
Over at Don Bosco Technology Center, Paref-Springdale pulled off a 4-1 win against Cebu International School while the University of San Carlos spared no mercy in a 16-0 shutout of Danao FC. (FREEMAN)
