8 pelikulang pasok sa MMFF 2014 malalaman sa Sabado

MANILA, Philippines - Walong pelikulang Pilipino ang idedeklara ni Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Francis Tolentino sa darating na Sabado na mga official entry para sa 40th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) ngayong Disyembre.

Ayon sa MMFF Executive Committee, may 13 pelikula ang nagpasa ng aplikasyon para mapasama sa taunang MMFF. Ginaganap ang local film festival tuwing ika-25 ng Diyembre hanggang unang linggo ng Enero.

Kabilang sa mga nagpasa ng aplikasyon ang “Praybeyt Benjamin 2” nina Vice Ganda at Richard Yap; “My Big Bossing’s Adventure” nina Vic Sotto at Ryzza Mae Dizon; “Shake, Rattle, and Roll 15” nina Dennis Trillo, JC De Vera, at Matteo Guidicelli; “English Only Please” nina Sam Milby at Angeline Quinto; “Bonifacio: Gusto Mo Ba Siya Makilala?” nina Robin Padilla at Iza Calzado; “Bonggangster” ni BB Gandanghari; “Kid Kulafu” nina Cesar Montano at Alessandra De Rossi; “Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles 2” nina Dingdong Dantes at Lovi Poe; “Above the Clouds” nina Ruru Madrid at Pepe Smith; “Whistleblower” nina Nora Aunor, Cherry Pie Picache, at Angelica Panganiban; “Kung ang Hanap Mo ay Ligaya sa Buhay” nina Boots Anson Roa at Snooky Serna; “Magnum Muslim .357” ni Jeorge ER Estregan; at “Feng Shui 2” nina Coco Martin at Kris Aquino.

Walo lamang sa 13 entries ang papalaring payagan na sumali sa MMFF.

“There was an overwhelming response from the producers. The scripts submitted for consideration and screening by the Selection Committee all look promising,” pahayag ni Tolentino.

Idinagdag ni Tolentino, na siya ring tagapangulo ng MMFA Executive Committee, na nagsisimula na sila sa paghahanda para sa MMFF ngayong taon.

“I am optimistic this year’s festival will surpass last year in terms of gross ticket sales,” ani Tolentino.
