ASCA seminar dagdag kaalaman sa Pinoy coaches

Pilipino Star Ngayon

MANILA, Philippines — Patuloy ang pagbahagi ng Philippine Swimming League (PSL) ng malalim na kaalaman sa mga Pinoy coaches matapos isagawa ang 2018 Seminar for American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Level 1 kamakailan sa Diliman Preparatory School (DPS) High School Audio Visual Room sa Quezon City.

Pinangunahan in Ernest Jay Ungoco ang seminar kung saan ibinahagi nito ang kanyang natutunan sa World Swimming Coaches Association (WSCA) Seminar na dinaluhan nito sa Napa California sa Amerika noong 2014.

“Coaching Education Program has been developed for you coaches. New coaches, grab the best opportunity possible in your coaching profession. PSL has been taking to World Coaches to enhance and to mature your coaching skills,”  wika ni PSL President Susan Papa.

Naging panauhing pandangal si PSL Chairman Sen. Nikki Coseteng na nagbigay din ng magandang mensahe sa mga dumalo.

“The USA Swimming Coaching Education Program has been developed to help you, the new swimming coach, get off to the best start possible in the coaching profession. This program is the result of years of development and planning by many professional people,” ani Papa.

“Experienced coaches, researchers and administrators have all contributed to the knowledge base from which this program has been developed,” dagdag nito.

Iginiit ni Papa na kailangan ang coaching education upang mapaganda ang programa ng mga coaches sa kani-kanilang swimming teams at clubs.

“This coaching education program is designed to present in practical terms the theory, facts and experiences learned through years of research and practice in the sports sciences,” sambit pa ni Papa.

Naniniwala si Papa sa sinabi ng USA Swimming at American Swimming Coaches Association na habang lumalalim ang kaalaman ng coaches, mas nagiging epektibo itong mentor.

“That is, you will be better able to teach skills, relate to your swimmers and achieve more success if provided this education, than if you were not. The most significant result of increased knowledge and improved effectiveness is an increased enjoyment of coaching. Coaching should be as much fun for you as it is for your swimmers,” pagtatapos ni Papa.
