MANILA, Philippines — Inangkin nina national bowlers Krizziah Tabora at Jomar Jumapao ang 2017 BWC (Bowling World Cup) national titles sa Paeng’s Eastwood Bowl para makakuha ng tiket sa Hermosillo, Mexico.

Bumangon ang 26-an­yos na si Tabora, umangkin sa naturang korona noong 2012, mula sa isang first-game loss para talunin si many-time international titlist Liza del Rosario, 2-1 (225-266,238-193, 236-179) sa ladies’ finals.

Inungusan naman ng 27-anyos na si Jumapao ng Cebu si Nicco Olaivar, 2-0 (206-195, 233-199) para sa men’s plum.

“I was so happy and excited,” ani Tabora, ang 13th finisher noong 2012 BWC international tournament na idinaos sa Wroclaw, Poland at nag-uwi ng bronze medal mula sa nakaraang 29th Southeast Asian Games sa Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ito naman ang unang BWC national title ni Juma­pao, ang sales rep ng fa­mily-owned firm Coolspot Specialists.

“Masaya talaga ako, but I’m not too satisfied with my shots. I have to work on them in preparation for the Mexico competition,” ani Jumapao.

Sina Tabora at Jumapao ang kakatawan sa bansa sa 2017 International Bow­ling World Cup na idaraos sa Hermosillo, Mexico sa Nobyembre 4-12.
