Cavaliers-Warriors trilogy mas matindi ang bakbakan
CLEVELAND -- Ang rubber match. Ang trilogy. Anuman ang gusto ninyong itawag tungkol sa makasaysayang ikatlong paghaharap ng Cavaliers at Golden State Warriors sa NBA Finals, ngayon pa lamang mangyayari sa NBA history, ay ito ang inaabangan ng mga fans.
Ito ang pinakamabigat na bakbakan ng magkaribal na koponan.
“We just got to play defense,” sabi ni Cleveland superstar LeBron James sa isang televised postgame interview matapos sibakin ang Boston Celtics, 4-1 sa kanilang Eastern Conference Finals series.
“We’re going to face adversity. That’s been the best team in our league the last three years, and they added an unbelievable player in Kevin Durant this year, so that makes it even more difficult. So they’re gonna challenge us a lot: offensively, defensively, mentally, physically, but we’re going to have to be ready for that challenge," dagdag pa nito.
Sinabi ni James na ayaw niya munang pag-usapan ang paghaharap ng Cavaliers at Warriors sa 2017 NBA FInals na magsisimula sa Hunyo 1 sa Cleveland.
“I’ll be honest, I’m not really in the right mind to even talk about Golden State right now. It’s too stressful, and I’m not stressed right now,” nakangiting wika ni James. “Golden State, they’ve been the best team in our league the last three years, then they added an MVP. That’s all I can give you right now, because I’m happy and I don’t want a lot of stress, and they cause a lot of stress.”
Ayon naman kay Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue, hindi pa nila nasisimulang paghandaan ang Golden State.
“Of course I watch every game, because I’m a basketball junkie, and they’ve been playing great,” wika ni Lue. “But you can’t get too far ahead of yourself.”
Kagaya ng Celtics, inaasahan din ni forward Kevin Love ang matinding serye nila ng Warriors.
Nakatakda ang Game 2 sa Hunyo 4 sa Cleveland bago dalhin ang serye sa Oakland, California sa Hunyo 7 at 9 para sa Games 3 at 4, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
